What do I do if a game or console I receive is not as described?

First, relax! It sometimes happens even to the best of us. While we know it's disappointing, you can get it resolved!

To start this process, please follow these steps:

  • Contact the seller by leaving a comment on the listing's sale page.
  • Alert Swappa by checking the "Swappa, I need help!" box on the sale page, so our support team can follow up on the sale page if assistance is needed.
  • If seeking a refund, please be sure to inform the seller that this is the resolution you would prefer.
  • If the game or console isn't received as described, feel free to upload photos of the item's condition on the sale page for the seller to review.
  • If a seller doesn't respond to a problem sale within a reasonable amount of time (around 24 hours), transactions on PayPal are thankfully covered by PayPal's protections for up to 180 days after a purchase.
  • Please be sure to alert Swappa staff if a PayPal dispute is filed against a seller (If applicable, Swappa's sale fee should not be disputed, as this can be refunded when a sale does not work out.).
