The Top 5
The top-selling devices for the month of May on Swappa:
- Samsung Galaxy S 4 (Verizon) – average sale price: $293 (was $308)
- Apple iPhone 4 (Verizon) – average sale price: $111
- Apple iPhone 5S (AT&T) – average sale price: $482 (was $486)
- Apple iPhone 5S (Verizon) – average sale price: $542
- Nexus 5 (Unlocked) – average sale price: $327 (was $330)
Once again #1 for this month was the Samsung Galaxy S 4 (Verizon), which has been at the top spot for several months.
New on the list at #2 is the Apple iPhone 4 (Verizon). That’s right, the iPhone 4 has had 3 generation of successors (4S, 5, and 5S), but is still quite popular on the re-sell market.
The Nexus 5 (Unlocked) remained on the Top 5 list this month, but took a big drop from #2 to #5.
The Apple iPhone 5S (AT&T) stayed in the #3 spot and was joined by it’s sibling the Apple iPhone 5S (Verizon) at #4. This makes 3 of the top 4 phones sold on Swappa iPhones.
Overall though, Android devices dominate the marketplace, the sales numbers are just much more widely distributed over many different models.
