It’s no secret that Swappa is the best way to buy and sell their used tech online but we’re always looking for new ways to make this easier for our users. We noticed a growing number of Facebook groups built around buying/selling used camera gear but felt it was something we could do better. With that, we’re formally announcing the introduction of Swappa’s Buy and Sell camera Facebook group.
If you’ve never used Swappa before, we are safe, user-to-user marketplace for used tech. Think eBay but with much lower fees. Swappa has been around for nearly a decade, starting out with used phones and have since added new categories like home tech, video games, and more recently — you guessed it — used camera gear.
We know a lot of people use Facebook to find used camera gear which is why we decided to make this page. It works a little different from other buy/sell pages, so let’s quickly go over that now.
Buyers
For buyers, we’ll be posting daily listings of camera equipment. This allows you to quickly see what’s being offered, with all the necessary information including photos uploaded natively onto Facebook. To learn more about a listing or to buy the item in question, just hit the link and it will take you directly to the listing on Swappa.com.
Sellers
For sellers, simply create a listing for your camera on Swappa.com, and once it’s been approved, Swappa staff will list your camera here on this page. The whole idea is to share used camera listings in a way that targets the people most interested in buying it, and to provide a safer place for people to buy and sell their used camera gear.
Swappa vs other Facebook Groups
You might be wondering, why use Swappa instead of other Facebook groups? Here are just a few reasons why:
