IMEI check at T-Mbl store shows phone was purchased with a loan, and has not been paid off yet. IMEI is clear *for now*, but T-Mbl rep cautioned me that as soon as original dev owner misses a loan payment, the IMEI will be blacklisted. Seller offered no help, and just insisted IMEI was clear. I was able to root, and then SIM unlock the device, and plan to activate on non-T-Mbl service to avoid issues.

Device is in pretty good shape. One major scratch on the screen but I may be able to buff it out. After buying 2 phones on swappa that were not the correct version (incorrectly advertised), this phone was actually the Google edition pixel 2 xl with unlockable bootloader.
