Who covers the cost of shipping?
Shipping costs can be paid by the buyer or seller, depending on whether the seller offers standard shipping, express shipping, or next-day local delivery.
- Sellers pay for standard shipping on Swappa. Sellers should account for this when setting an Ask Price during the listing creation process. Standard shipping is defined as ground shipping with a tracking number and insurance that covers the full price of the listing.
- Buyers pay for express shipping (if offered by the seller). Express shipping requires sellers to ship the same or next business day (including Saturday) and use a next-day (overnight) delivery option. Express shipping also needs tracking and full insurance.
Alternatively, buyers can choose next-day local delivery on select items. Local delivery costs are split between the buyer and seller. Learn more about Swappa Local Delivery.
