This is the February 2014 edition of the Swappa Monthly Report. Without further ado…
The Top 5
The top-selling devices for the month of January on Swappa:
- Samsung Galaxy S 4 (Verizon) – average sale price: $356 (was $368)
- Nexus 5 (Unlocked) – average sale price: $363 (was $366)
- Samsung Galaxy S III (Verizon) – average sale price: $213 (was $219)
- Apple iPhone 4S (Verizon) – average sale price: $206 (was $194)
- Apple iPhone 5 (Verizon) – average sale price: $385
The only big change between this month and the previous month’s Top 5 is the Nexus 4 (Unlocked) dropping off of the Top 5, replaced by the Apple iPhone 5 (Verizon).
And this means 4 of the Top 5 selling devices on Swappa are now Verizon devices.
Once again #1 for this month was the Samsung Galaxy S 4 (Verizon). The SGS4 for Verizon has been one of the best-selling devices for the past 6 months, as has it’s predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S III (Verizon). It is a sales juggernaut. And this will likely continue for the next several months with the upcoming release of the Samsung Galaxy S 5.
Device Comparisons
A neat new feature we’ve added to the site this months allows you to compare two devices’ specs and pricing data side-by-side.
Check it out here: http://swappa.com/compare/
And here’s some example comparisons for our Top 5 devices:

While this is a good way to compare important specs of particular devices, Swappa also allows you to compare real-time prices of what they are being bought and sold for on the market.
