“All Your Base Are Belong to Us” is a catchphrase that gained popularity and meme-dom on the internet as early as 1998. It’s a bad translation of “all of your bases are now under our control”, the quote originally appeared in the opening dialogue of a game called Zero Wing released in 1989 for the Sega Genesis.
