I received an M1 Macbook Pro 2020 13” that had a dysfunctional thunderbolt port. I felt it wasn’t considered fully functional so I disputed it and the seller responded by trying to convince me it was just what happens when you buy a used laptop. This response made me quite nervous as this was my first time on Swappa and I feared that I may be stuck with a purchase that I didn’t feel was done out of full transparency. Fortunately, when I reached out to the staff, they suggested a Genius Bar appointment which confirmed that it was indeed dysfunctional. The seller calmly obliged with the Swappa staff and we proceeded with a return. Overall, I am very happy that the standards of this marketplace are high and the seller was polite and agreeable once we started to carry out the investigation. The issue wasn’t huge so it could have been an honest mistake to overlook it. I just felt uncomfortable when I was told that it was a normal experience to have something “quirky” with the machine.

Worked great, just had to let it charge a bit!
