I feel let down by Swappa, and the seller. The pictures posted didn't show the damage, and the Swappa staff didn't ensure that they did. If the phone wasn't needed by a family member I would have made a bigger deal, and returned it. I hate that anyone gets away with deceitful practices, and up 'til now had pretty much avoided such things on Swappa. As a seller who has sold so much on this site, I hope they haven't gotten away with doing this to many others. Luckily it is in good working order, so not a total loss.

Received the phone.

Phone arrived with erroneous label that said it was a galaxy note 9. It took a while to figure out that it was strictly a screen protector placed over the only screen.

Shipping was quick and item arrived, but the phone was listed in mint condition, and has obvious cracks on two sides and the top. In fact, part of the back is somewhat disconnected from the body of the phone it moves when we touch it. Battery life appears fine so far, but should have been listed in good or fair condition and a lower price for the state it's in.

So previously I was really happy with this purchase.. 8 months down the line my phone stopped being able to read the simcard. I took it to geek squad - they told me the phone was previously opened and alot of the screws that held down components were missing. I can't blame the seller but this phone was NOT mint, this was a previously repaired phone.

Phone was not connecting to the network. Had to get with customer service over 10 times, go through 3 physical SIMS, and two eSIMs. Only reason I didn't return it via Swappa was because Samsung offered me more than the purchase price. Seller seemed skeptical when I asked to return the device, wanted me to troubleshoot even after saying I already was with numerous representatives.

the seller is sneaky ans sold me a defective product. it doesn't match the description nor does the phone work. they are making it difficult to get a refund on the shipping back.

do NOT buy from this seller.

Not connecting to service. Tested with carrier for hours. Used other phone to test and it worked right away..

Phone arrived promptly but would not charge. Seller consistently took 48+ hours to respond to me when discussing the issue and had to be prompted by swappa staff. Responses sometimes seemed a little belittling, ex: only responding to part of my messages and reminding me that the phone was expensive, try another charging cable. Helped me return the phone and then insisted the issue was fixed and wanted to send it back to me. When I asked what the issue was, there was no response for another 2 days so I went ahead and asked for a refund. Refund was responded to immediately.

I purchased this to use for zoom meetings and send videos of interviews, so not everyday use. After about two months the phone randomly shut off and would randomly respond to charging or being turned on again. I wrote to the seller who told me to send it back to him to have it looked at. I would end up doing this four more times at my own expense. Each time I was told there was no problem with it even though I had video proof of it not charging or responding. Finally I sent the phone to Samsung who told me the motherboard was faulty. The seller said he would look at it again and again he responded with “there is no problem”. Swappa was aware of the issuer from the beginning amd was completely hands off and unhelpful in coming to any resolution. BUYER BEWARE. You are on your own here and definitely beware of this seller. $400 down the drain.

The first phone they sent had a broken camera. They sent a replacement, but in under 3 months, the phone has started having issues with the screen randomly becoming unresponsive.

Received phone but it does not work. I do not consider the sale complete. I need an ram number and shipping instructions to return the item for a full refund.

Was sent a mint but LOCKED phone to AT&T (advertised as unlocked). Seller asked for 24 hours to unlock phone but to no avail. Phone has been returned and refunded. The entire ordeal wasted two weeks of my life.

It's not working. It's still connected 2 another phone.

I bought a mint condition phone and have had several problems with it. It is constantly taking me to recovery mode and sometimes just stops working all together.

Device arrived damaged in the Display port. I contacted the Seller about exchanging the device. The Seller agreed to send me a return label and ship me a replacement after shipping the original back. After several days of messaging the seller and awaiting the return label,I had to get Swappa involved to get a response. I then received a label and proceeded to ship it back. I messaged Seller upon shipment of the damaged device to see when the replacement will be shipped. I simply received a message saying Refund sent. Horrible seller that tied my purchase up for weeks and I still don't have the device I required.

The watch does NOT turn on I want a refund!!!

It was not new as he stated I have a video. It had NO PLASTICS on the phone. You just can’t trust anyone these days. My first experience on this site and I was scammed. Now I dispute with my credit company as fraud.

Huge dent in the back of my phone when recieved. Should get a discount on the "mint" item that is actually in fair condition.... But, its whatever.

Microphone doesn't work.
Being the product you sold has issues you paying for the return postage So
Are you going to send me a postage paid return label for the return of the Google pixel 4a or a link to print one out so I can return it for a refund..

To be fair, I did not check the unlock status of the phone when I received it 8 months ago; it was intended to be a backup for my mother-in-law, and it was not needed until Dec 2020. The phone provided was not unlocked and is essentially a paperweight.

Seller refused to replace defective phone. Was forced to file PayPal dispute.

I hope I can get pictures attached to my review, to show the two scratches. The phone was describes as mint, flawless screen. The initial communication was great, delivery was in time, but upon inspection of the item, there were two spots with scratches. Approached the seller and his response: sorry for the mistake we make, can I refund $15 to make it up, sometimes we miss it. Well, buyers be aware, sometimes they miss to spot or write that the phone is not as described - maybe this is a generic text he puts for every items he sells on Swappa. Now my issue is that Swappa was just sitting there and sending me their policy. I have to pay for shipping back for items with wrong description. Amazon does the right thing and takes care of their customers, in this case neither Swappa nor seller tried much. To correct seller mistake, I need to spend more time running to post office, cause his shipping labels have a time expiration. Refund? Forget about it, not anymore. Stay away.

The phone came not attached all the way to the screen because he repaired a broken phone I took the phone to a professional repair shop and there was internal damage so even if the screen was attached the phone was still crap just long enough to last 60 days what is scam artist this one is

Too many scratches on it.

The phone keeps freezing and does not work correctly.

Apple Watch is displaying green snake of death. The seller had to know this before selling the watch.

- 1 / 5 stars

While the watch is in mint condition cosmetically, the screen continuously glitches and the watch does not work properly. I am very disappointed in this item and sale. I am expecting a full refund on this purchase. Please tell me how to return the watch.

The phone is in a good condition but when I received it the front cameras are full of dust and the pictures are very blurry. Wasn't mentioned in the listing

I purchased a Moto G6 unlocked (black, mint condition) in September. Phone appeared to be as indicated. However, it is no longer holding any charge. It's not possible to even turn the phone on. Given that return/exchange doesn't appear possible, and given that it was supposed to be "mint" condition and less than 5 months later it's dead, super disappointed. Ramger 2888 feel free to contact buyer at [email protected]

My name is Heidi Meyer and I recently purchased a phone from you. It was my understanding that this would be an unlocked phone. however when I tried to activate the device with my cell phone carrier they informed me it was locked because it still is under contract with a previous phone carrier. I was badly inconvenienced while I was endeavoring to troubleshoot this problem at home, and, find it hard to fathom how a seller could have blindly shipped it in unusable condition. I was recommended to this buyer exchange, but, sadly, can't justify using it again, nor, recommending it to my social circles.

This phone was listed as in good condition, and it looked like it was at first. I expect that the screen was a replacement and it has not held up well. Receieving a phone with a poor quality screen and zero communication with the seller has made this a poor experience.

- 1 / 5 stars

Horrible customer experience. My phone was sent to the wrong address. I ask to ship ASAP after their mistake and new shipping label was not updated until 4 days after. I then asked the seller if the phone was the same than the one in the listing, and seller ignored my question. I received the phone without a Sim tray and seller is asking me if I want the Sim card tray to be shipped. Was supposed to get the phone a week ago, now I have to wait 3 4 more days if I ever get the Sim card tray. 4 or 3 phones bought from swappa and never had such a horrible experience.

Did you guys ship me the right phone? There is a chip taken out of the bottom of the phone on the bezel and there are obvious scratches on the screen which i do not recall reading about in the description. I could have bought a cheaper phone with less severe scratches on the screen that was listed at the time

- 1 / 5 stars

Shipped immediately and it was completely Mint. Thank you

Edit: I recently had to get some work done for the charging port. I was told and shown by ubreakifix that the rear glass of the device was replaced with an unlocked US model glass and wasn't even put on with adhesive it was some sort of cheap glue. Buyers beware

Phone arrived in condition as listed but I was unable to active phone. I contacted seller but no explanation was provided in regards to this problem. My carrier Verizon told me phone was locked and I won't be able to use it. There was some problem with IMEI number. However, seller refunded me my money without any inconvenience in a timely fashion.

- 1 / 5 stars

Phone had a significant issue with glue or adhesive covering the earspeaker. Could not hear any incoming calls. Having to spend a lot of time painstakingly removing it, I asked for a partial refund. Seller responded "I will refund $20 back to you, since the phone is already cheap." I made the point that the sales price should in not impact or dictate the level of service or commitment to the sale, and to reconsider that offer. Sellers response was for me to "accept offer or return phone."

To be fully transparent, the refund was issued to Paypal within an hour, however, I cannot recommend this seller due to his "policy" of limiting a refund based on the sales price (that he agrees to) of a phone.
