MacBook Pro 2020 - 13" vs MacBook Pro 2023 - 14"

Apple released three versions of the MacBook Pro 13” (2020), two of which are powered by Intel processors and one that is powered by an Apple M1 chip. This 2020 release marked the beginning of the MacBook Pro moving to Apple silicon, and the MacBook Pro 14” (2023) is a high-performance notebook based on the Apple M2 Pro and Apple M2 Max chips. The MacBook Pro 14” (2023) features include a 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display with True Tone and ProMotion, options for an Apple M2 Pro or M2 Max chip, up to 96GB of unified memory, up to 8TB of storage space, up to 18 hours of battery life, WiFi 6E (802.11ax), Bluetooth 5.3, three Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports, an HDMI port, an SDXC memory card slot, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, and Touch ID for device security. The MacBook Pro 13” (2020) common features include a 13.3-inch Retina display, Bluetooth 5.0, 720p FaceTime HD camera, a Touch Bar with Touch ID, stereo speakers with high dynamic range, wide stereo sound, support for Dolby Atmos playback, a studio-quality three-mic array, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. An Intel-powered model features an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 645, two Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports, up to 16GB of RAM, up to 2TB of storage, and WiFi 802.11ac. The other Intel-powered model features an Intel Core i5 or Core i7, Intel Iris Plus Graphics, four Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports, up to 32GB of RAM, up to 4TB of storage, and WiFi 802.11ac. The Apple-silicon-powered model features an Apple M1 chip, two Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports, up to 16GB of RAM, up to 2TB of storage, and WiFi 802.11ax.
