Swappa vets every partner through a multi-step review before they go live, and keeps watching after. Partner selection is the most important part of Swappa Trade-In. If a partner gives a great quote but pays late or lowballs at inspection, the user remembers Swappa, not the partner. So we are picky.

Before a partner goes live, we:

• Review their sales history on Swappa and other marketplaces.
• Read independent customer reviews from real buyers who are not selling anything.
• Check their ratings on the Better Business Bureau and Trustpilot.
• Test the process ourselves. Someone on our team gets a quote, ships a device, and waits for payment. A rough experience at any step means no listing.

Once a partner is live, we track their customer ratings and payment timing. If complaints climb or payouts slow, we follow up directly. Partners that do not fix it lose their spot.

This is why the trade-in partners list is intentionally small. We would rather have a handful of partners we trust than a long list of names we cannot vouch for.
