The average selling price for a gently used smartphone drops over time. If you’re looking at the average selling price from month to month, the drop may not be that noticeable. And in fact, it may not even decrease every month. But if you’re looking at the bigger picture, say 3 or 6-months, the price drop will be a bit more noticeable.
Using the 512GB Samsung Galaxy S10 as an example — the average selling price was $419 in January 2021. By March 2021 the price dropped to an average of $398, then increased to $414 in April 2021 before settling down to $377 in June 2021. This is to say the Galaxy S10 average selling price dropped and increased during this 6-month period. But ultimately, the average selling price decreased by $42 over the period running from January 2021 to June 2021.
Of course, when you factor in the original MSRP, the amount you would have paid at any time during that 6-month period would have been a really good deal — literally, a savings of hundreds of dollars.

When is the best time to sell a Samsung Galaxy S10?
You will get the most money by listing your used Samsung phone on Swappa. And, listing it for sale sooner rather than later increases your chances to sell it for more money. The longer you wait, the greater potential for the average selling price to decrease. And while a decrease of a few dollars from month to month may not seem super important, those few dollars could be put to good use to cover shipping costs. Right now really is the best time to list your gently used Galaxy S10 for sale on Swappa.
Regardless of whether you are buying or selling a gently used Galaxy S10, one of the more important things you’ll want to do is find a marketplace that is active, safe, and easy to use. Swappa is that marketplace.
