Sorry for the delayed response. Phone was received and the issue with activation was eventually resolved.

I originally could not get this phone to activate on Ting. They said that it still showed in use at Sprint. Sprint will only work with the contract owner, so I needed the seller to contact them for me. It took a while to get a response (maybe a week - he said he was camping), but he finally said he would contact them. I never heard back from him again. Several weeks later I finally got the phone to activate on my own. Not sure how. The phone was in the condition advertised and shipped quickly, but because of the lack of communication afterwards, I could not give a 5 star rating.
