UPDATE: The deal was too good to be true.

Apparently the extended battery is no good.

My mother opened her gift Christmas day and was very excited. Next day we activated it. The extended battery seemed to do very well because it did not need charging until the next day.

She plugged it in to allow it to fully charge.

Apparently the extended battery is cheap and faulty as it over heated and shorted out the phone, damaging the display and cut it out.

I immediately cut off the device and removed the battery. It was so hot it caused the water damage sticker under the battery to melt and get stuck to the battery.

After it cooled down I put in my wife's battery and turned it on. The display is now finicky and glitches.

I now have to go through Verizon and pay an additional $100 to fix the device.

Learned my lesson and will never do business with this seller nor swappa. Do not buy if he has changed anything from stock.

Merry freaking Christmas.
