The seller had a "BETA" version of watchOS installed, which he didn't mention in the description, which prevented it from pairing with the iPhone 15 Pro Max (latest iOS). Currently, there is no iOS version (even beta) available for the watchOS beta the seller had installed. I visited the Apple Genius Bar, but even they couldn't fix the issue. They had to send the watch to their service center to revert the watchOS from the beta version to the latest stable version, which is 10.5. Most likely, the seller sold this watch because he couldn't pair it as well and didn't want to take it to the Apple Store to get it fixed.
