While the phone did operate when I first got it, it very quickly started shutting off at random times. I believe the seller knew about this condition for two reasons;
1. He removed the original back and put the phone in one of those metal cases you find on ebay. The phone was unuseable with the original back on.
2. With the back removed, I noticed that two of the nine screws that hold the phone together were missing. This was not a phone in mint condition.
The seller has not replied to my complaints. I have since discovered that many Galaxy S4s suffer from this problem. It would not suprise me to find that a lot of float around in the resale market.
