Misunderstanding turned to drawn-out apathetic pain.
Seller thought phone was free and clear but I couldn't activate it. I called carrier and they made me have him call. He called carrier to try to resolve, but no result. I'm led to believe device is locked due to unpaid bill or unpaid phone lease.
I was VERY patient trying to get situation resolved, but finally asked for refund since he couldn't/wouldn't get problem solved with the phone's carrier. Seller was unresponsive once it came to the refund/cancellation of the sale. I ended up having to dispute the payment with PayPal, and the seller also didn't respond there. Everything timed out and I FINALLY got my $245 back.
He STILL won't respond with his return shipping address for the device. At this point, I'd be happy to ship it back to him, but not until he sends prepayment for the shipping.
