When I checked the phone it seemed exactly as described: just a few scratches on the corners. A few weeks later, the glass screen started popping out of the iphone at the top. I opened up the iphone and noticed signs that the iphone was not refurbished very carefully: one screw was loose and the pad was missing from the LCD cable connector. And of course, the fact that the glass screen had started separating from the rest of the front panel.

I am disappointed the phone started having problems after only 3-4 weeks, but I guess that's the risk you take with a refurbished phone. For other buyers, be aware that even if a refurbished phone works great at first (and I followed all of Swappa's instructions for testing a new phone), there's no way to know how well it will function in the long term.

On the hand, a friend of mine bought a refurbished phone through Swappa a year ago and it is still going strong. There's just no way to know.
