Compatibility still matters: you must use a carrier that supports Apple Watch cellular (eSIM) for your region and plan. In the U.S., major carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon support Apple Watch Ultra 2.

This was purchased from apple.com and shipped directly to Chicago (where I was living at the time). I have no idea why it's coming up as a Chinese model.
