if i take out the sim card i have in my iphone right now will all my data be saved as well as my data plan basically can i use it right away with out having to mess with re setting up my stuff on the new phone

sim card basically just holds your phone number and calling plan. The phone has all your contacts and your other stuff. If transfer from old iphone the new iphone, once you sign in your apple ID, all your information will be transferred to your new iphone. When you set up your information, just follow the iPhone set up steps, it will lead you to the right spots. One step will ask you if you want transfer all your old info to the new phone. So all your old info will be transferred to your new phone. Just follow the instructions.

For US cellular, I am not sure if you need to call them to hook up your new phone to your phone plan. You need to call them to make sure. Some phone plans you don't need to call them, just place your sim card in and you can use the phone right away. However, some other phone plans you have to call them and tell them your new phone imei number to hook up with your phone plan.
