Swappa Limited Warranty for Electronics

1. Warranty Coverage:
- Who is Covered: This limited warranty extends only to the original purchaser of the product from a seller on Swappa. It is not transferable to subsequent owners of the product.
- What is Covered: This warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the warranty period. Specifically, it includes coverage for system failures or malfunctions directly attributable to manufacturing defects.

2. Warranty Period:
- Duration: The warranty period is 90 days from the date of receipt by the original purchaser.
- Start Date: The warranty period starts on the date the purchaser receives the item, as verified by delivery tracking information.

3. What Will Be Done:
- Repair, Replacement, or Refund: During the warranty period, the seller will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of a product that prove defective because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance. If a repair or replacement is not possible, the seller will refund the purchase price.

4. Exclusions and Limitations:
- What is Not Covered: This limited warranty does not cover any problem that is caused by conditions, malfunctions, or damage not resulting from defects in material or workmanship.

For example, it does not cover:
- Damage attributable to accidents, abuse, or misuse.
- Damage caused by unauthorized modifications, connections, or repairs.
- Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents, and broken plastic.
- Software Issues: This warranty does not cover software issues, including software compatibility problems, presence of malicious software, or failure of software to meet user needs.

5. Claim Process:
- Contact Requirement: To obtain warranty service, the purchaser must first contact the seller on Swappa through the provided communication channels to describe the issue and furnish proof of purchase.
- Assessment and Shipping: The seller will provide instructions on how to send the defective item back for inspection. The purchaser is responsible for shipping costs if the defect or malfunction is not confirmed by the seller's assessment.
- Resolution: If the defect is confirmed, the seller will repair, replace, or refund the item at their discretion. If repaired or replaced, the seller will cover the return shipping costs.

6. Geographic Scope:
- This limited warranty is limited to purchases made within the United States, unless otherwise stated in the individual listing.

7. Miscellaneous:
- Implied Warranties: The duration of any implied warranties that the purchaser may have under state law, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, is limited to the duration of this express warranty.
- Limitation on Damages: The seller is not responsible for direct, special, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition.

- The seller is responsible for shipping the item within two business days from the date of purchase confirmation.

2. Shipping Methods and Costs
- Shipping costs are included in the sale price of the item.

3. Packaging Standards

- Computers and monitors will be shipped in their original packaging when available. If original packaging is not available, the item will be packed in a box of appropriate size with ample padding.

4. Tracking and Delivery

- Sellers are responsible for ensuring the item is delivered to the address provided by the buyer in the purchase order.
- The seller is not responsible for issues arising from incorrect delivery addresses entered by the buyer.

5. International Shipping

6. Returns and Exchanges
- Returns must be initiated by the buyer within Swappa’s return policy period, which is typically within 7 days of receipt.

Returns & Refunds

  • Eligible for PayPal Purchase Protection , so you get what you paid for
  • Items received not as described shall be returned to the seller for a prompt refund
All seller return policies are based on the pre-condition that the device is received as advertised and in accordance with Swappa policies.

1. Buyers must follow all return policies to get full refund
2. All returned items must be in the same condition as sold item
3. Device returned must be factory reset & iCloud/Google email lock free
4. Any damage or alteration of device will result in voided warranty/return
5. If these policies are not followed, up to 50% restocking fees may apply
6. Buyer remorse returns are subject to 4% restocking fees (Paypal does not refund these fees to us)
