Does this allow you to use the google play movies app? I have some movies I want to save in the app and watch on the tablet without wifi

I can't comment specifically on the play movie app, but, you can download anything that is in the Play Store, so I can't imagine it would be a problem. I don't use Play Movies myself, so I'm not sure about offline. But, if you can watch movies offline on any other android device, you will be able to with the Remix.

Hi Matt. I did a little more digging. As I said, I don't use the Play Movies app myself. I Netflix things. But, I don't think that this would be a problem for the Jide Remix for 2 reasons. 1.) You can download any app from the Play Store. 2.) The Play Movies app says that you can download for offline use. If that's your main purpose, I would suggest you buy a large SD card.

Okay thank you for checking on that. I'm definitely interested just worry about the support on the device since it is a start up company and future updates. Are you firm on the price?

I understand. I love the ambition of startups, but there are always issues bringing the dream to market. The devs claim that they will be aggressive with updates. I honestly don't know. I know that I ordered a Jide Mini which is supposed to have Remix 2.0 based on Android 5.1. So...we'll see. One of the dealbreakers for me was the lack of support for blue light filters. I emailed support, and the response I received was, "we may include it in an OTA." I think that there's always a bit of a risk with startups.

Before buying, you might poke around on the Jide forums to see what the chatter is saying. I haven't in a while, not since I decided to sell rather than keep.

I'm sorry to say that the price is firm. I've already lowered it from the $340 I started at. I bought the case as a sweetener. After fees and shipping...the price is firm. If I don't find a buyer at $290, I'm just going to use it myself as a toy to play around with.
