Is the phone paid off, under contract and warranty. Where did you purchase it?

Allan W. Seller

The phone was never tied to a payment plan so there was never an outstanding balance owed on it. It has never been activated so the warranty has not been started, once you activate it the warranty will kick in. It "should not" be tied to a contract, but as you know (i see you have been active on Swappa for awhile) a contract or no contract has no impact on using the AT&T equipment with AT&T which is why Swappa's rules allow for devices still under contract to be listed and sold. Sorry, i don't disclose my resource for equipment, but please read my reviews from people who have bought from me. I am honest, take pride in the products i sell and only sell quality equipment you will not have issues with.

Am I able to unlock the device with att once I've bought it from you?

Sorry, but there is no way for me to guarantee it can be unlocked which is why i am selling it as locked to AT&T only. Please don't purchase it unless you will use it on AT&T or if you have a "100% for sure" way of getting it unlocked which I, again can't guarantee. Thanks.

Any chance you would do $375-400?

Sorry, no. Thanks.

would you be willing to go to apples website and run the serial # to be able to prove how much warranty is left??

May 11, 2017 - 10:44 PM

I did. Since it was never activated, there is no warranty info available. Once you activate it, the warranty will start and you will have the full 1 year warranty.

If the phone is sealed in the box and never activated on a network, the warranty will be activated when the the devices IMEI number is activated on a network. I believe this to be accurate based on these examples of ones i have sold: I sold one on 4/22/17 (from this same batch), was activated on 4/29/17 and Apples's coverage checker shows it to be under warranty until 4/30/18, a full year. One i sold back on 11/28/16 (not of the same batch, but brand new never activated) shows to be under warranty until 12/6/2017.

this comes from apples website:"Apple One-Year Limited Warranty Summary
Apple warrants the included hardware product
and accessories against defects in materials and
workmanship for one year from the date of original
retail purchase"....would you be willing to guarantee that it will have the full one year warranty for $430?

I understand what Apples site shows, but there are so many conflicting statements available on the web it's confusing which is why I looked up a couple of my previous sales to confirm. Please read my reviews, I am honest and straight forward. Yes, if you purchase it at $430, then activate it and Apples site does not show it has a 1 year warranty, I will refund your full purchase amount once I receive the device back and it's in mint condition and the only change to the device is the box was opened and it was activated. I am basing this on what I see from past sales. Thanks.
