I know you say it's direct from Google, but just to make sure, this is not a Verizon phone is it? I've seen a few Verizon phones in the Google Edition section.

It definitely isn't. I can send you all the documentation to show this - I bought my original phone from the Google Store, and I got this replacement from the Google Store :)
