No, in the past, when I've bought macs, since you have the device, you can go in the store and ask to transfer the ownership. I've had it for a little over a month now, I have receipt of my original Mac, but this is a replacement. The original one had an issue with the speaker and they don't have the replacement parts available for them yet. So I can give you the original reciept for the original laptop and the original box for this laptop with all the paperwork, even the apple paperwork swapping the laptop.

To clarify, this mac is not a refurbished mac GM. This Mac is a brand new one that they gave me, in place of the one I bought. It came straight off the shelf, in the plastic wrapping.

A bit confused here.. this MacBook Pro for sale is not the original unit? It is a replacement unit? Apple swapped it out for a new unit but did not include the original box... or reset the warranty with a new receipt/box?

Mike, I have the original box. They did a replacement under the AppleCare. I have the paperwork for the replacement. The reciept I have reflects the original purchase which has the original serial number of the original Mac. The paperwork given by Apple when they did the replacement reflects the new Mac information. Apple does not reset the warranty for replacement machines, it carries from the last unit. They do this with all their products. You can call AppleCare to verify that, as I have done multiple times.

And I actually have both boxes, the old one and the new one.

Sorry Binod, no. I dropped it the lowest I can go to $2300. Really, I'm only getting $2250 because of the selling fees, plus the 2.9% fees for paypal. I paid over $2500 with all the accessories and taxes a few weeks ago.
