iPhone SE activated, but never used, can't return, warranty till Aug 2018

I bought it to use with att gophone sim, but switched networks and this phone cannot be used/unlocked on other networks until March 2018. After that, you can unlock for other carriers.
I never used the phone other than to activate it.

Comes with box, except earphones are missing.
So the price.
Apple warranty till Aug 2018.
I was over my 14-day return period.

is it unlocked? What version of OS is it running?

it is locked to AT&T, GoPhone until March 2018.
after that, it can be unlocked to use with any carrier.
I did not update the OS yet, but at the very bottom of this page form apple, it says compatible with SE.
I did not spend more than 10mins on this phone to upgrade the OS.
