Can you run a battery test?
go to command prompt
type
powercfg -battery report (after the g there is a space before the - )
Then it will send you to the C drive, user, battery report. Then report back with design capacity and full charge capacity and cycle count. If these numbers are acceptable I'd be very interested. The batteries are not replaceable and I need to know I am getting a device with acceptable battery life.

Not the cycles as much as the charge percentage left. Full charge capacity/ design capacity. If you could provide those two numbers. If my instructions aren't clear they can be Googled. Once I see the numbers we can go from there. I bought a surface 2 that ended up at 73%. That's 2.5 hours on battery. Not very good since the battery can't be changed.
I see your concern. I'll get back to you when I've run the cycle. Also, I'll be running it on Win10 coz I don't really want to change back and forth if the percentage isn't what you're looking for. I'm not sure how big a difference the battery drain is on both though
Leave on window 10 as far as I'm concerned. I found nothing but trouble switching back and forth.
