The device has a couple of minor scuff marks on the device's edge/corners due to normal use. The screen has one small scratch that is barely visible. It is about 1 cm in length and in the lower left-hand quadrant of the screen. It is hardly visible; I never notice it but looked for this sale and noticed it was there. The USB port is solid; no play in the connector and the device charges normally.
The Dilex case is very protective and a really nice case.
