Apple iPhone 6S [A1633] | 128GB | Rose Gold | AT&T | iOS 9.3.2 | Moderate Cosmetic Wear

Up for sale is an Apple iPhone 6S 128GB in Rose Gold from AT&T. It is model number A1633 and it is currently running iOS 9.3.2. There is no iCloud account associated with it. This phone was in a case for most of its life, but did suffer some cosmetic damage; just on the sides and on the back as shown in the pictures below. The phone's front glass (not on the screen) has a very small blemish in the very top right hand corner. The screen has no significant or deep scratches. No SIM card is included, but I threw in a brand new Anker Lightning cable.

350 based on condition?

- Jan 27, 2017 - 03:23 PM

Would you do 360?

- Feb 02, 2017 - 02:15 PM

What is the lowest you can do?

Russell Seller
- Feb 07, 2017 - 03:19 PM

Sorry for the delay guys. I had a few personal issues that prevented me from responding. I reactivated the listing. Looking at comparable listings, this is priced lower than any other comparable phone. The lowest I'd like to go is $395. I can throw in an Anker lightning cable if that really makes it or breaks it for someone. Does this price interest anyone? If so I'll mark it down. If it doesn't sell here, I'll list it on a non-enthusiast site where a 32GB Rose Gold in same condition sold for $300. Just trying to convert this. Thanks everyone!

Is it unlocked?

Feb 10, 2017 - 02:03 PM

Has this phone ever been water damaged or had parts replaced?

Russell Seller
- Feb 11, 2017 - 01:47 PM

It is not unlocked, but I could always call AT&T to get it unlocked, if that is what it will take to sell it. The phone has never been water damaged or has had any parts replaced.

Can you provide IMEI number?

Robert N. Staff
Feb 11, 2017 - 02:25 PM

Sellers should not share ESN / MEID / IMEI numbers, so please don't ask them to. This FAQ page explains why: http://swappa.com/faq/sell/share_esn_numbers

- Feb 11, 2017 - 02:29 PM

Okay what if the the phone under contract?

Russell Seller
- Feb 11, 2017 - 03:00 PM

Sam, the ESN verification the Swappa does is for clean and ready to activate. It would fail the last part if it were under contract or not fully paid off.

Just chatter? No serious bidders?

Feb 13, 2017 - 05:55 PM

Pictures 2, 5, 11, 12 are all out of focus, specifically want to see the screen and the screen damage- can you post focused pictures? In addition, is the screen original, or every replaced?

Russell Seller
- Feb 13, 2017 - 08:24 PM

Bob, as I've mentioned no parts have ever been replaced. I will do my best to get better pics tonight. My pixel suffers from the typical can't focus on close objects. I'll try tonight with another phone for you.

Feb 14, 2017 - 08:35 PM

Sorry for not noticing your comment regarding no replacement parts. Looking forward to additional pictures. Even from further away, focused pictures are an improvement.

Russell Seller

No worries. I didn't mean it in a negative way, I just wanted to show continuity. I just took a whole bunch of new pictures that I will be replacing these with. This time I still used my Pixel but no case, cleaned the heck out of the sensors and lens, and used the Camera2 API. I will upload them shortly.

Bob, please let me know if these pictures are good now or if you would like to further investigate any particular part. I have no problem supplying as much information as possible to prevent buyer's remorse! The screen pictures didn't come out nearly as nice, mainly because of the JPG compression. I do have them saved as DNG. Not sure if PNG compression would be better? If possible, does it break Swappa's rules to host additional pictures off-site for compatibility reasons? Example: To provide raw image formats to potential buyers. Well, I won't flag the staff unless you want the higher detail. Please keep me informed either way Bob. Thanks!

Sam, Mike H, or Bob K. have any interest before the weekend? Are any of you waiting for the phone to be carrier unlocked (should have time tomorrow to call up)? I'm just trying to gauge the interest, or lack thereof. Thanks everyone!

I am buying this phone for my wife, and she is concerned about the drop damage. I can't commit at this time.

Feb 18, 2017 - 09:39 AM

I would do $380 today.

Feb 18, 2017 - 09:41 AM

I would pay the $395 if its unlocked

Russell Seller
- Feb 18, 2017 - 01:50 PM

Bob, not a problem.

Daniel, it is not currently unlocked. However, 2 days I called AT&T to unlock it and they told me they'd get me the code within 2 days. I do not have the unlock code just yet, but I am calling AT&T later today. Please let me know if you want to close today at $380 or wait a moment for the unlock status. I would prefer to wait a moment for the unlock, but it is up to you.

Thanks again to everyone!

Feb 18, 2017 - 05:25 PM

So I mentioned the phone again to my wife, and she just wants to understand if the screen damage is due to the dropped phone or other reason? Is it delanination or other reason?

Feb 18, 2017 - 05:41 PM

Hey Bob,

I just noticed the pictures and some of the questions. With all of the dings and paint missing on the screen top right and on the corners, I would say this phone is in fair condition, not good condition.

Russell Seller
- Feb 18, 2017 - 06:08 PM

Daniel, I mentioned the damage in the OP and show clear pictures of it. After grading electronics for many years and following Swappa a guidelines, it did not fall under Fair but instead good. If you feel I am advertising incorrectly please contact the staff. Does this mean your interest in the phone has changed? I'm a bit thrown off by your post.

Russell Seller
- Feb 18, 2017 - 06:09 PM

Bob, from the original drop.

Russell Seller
- Feb 18, 2017 - 06:13 PM

Daniel rereading your post, you definitely painted the phone in sightly worse condition than it is. Paint missing? Dings are from a single drop. Damage to the glass on the top right, not to the screen itself. Any light scratching on the screen is wear and tear from lack of screen protector or low quality screen protector. Please let me know your current intentions. I am asking staff themselves if they think the rating is improper. Staff, could you please chime in on this? Thanks so much to everyone for all of their input.

Feb 18, 2017 - 07:02 PM

Russell- I am willing to close today @$380. Please let me know the process for me to buy at this price.

Russell Seller
- Feb 18, 2017 - 09:52 PM

Bob k that sounds good to me my friend. That price includes shipping that I'll upgrade to FedEx. I will change the price to $380 and wait for you to purchase. I think we just hope nobody else buys in the meantime. I don't think we can make the listing private until the sale is made. I will edit now.

Feb 19, 2017 - 05:08 AM

Thanks for the shipping upgrade, along with the anker cable. Clicking buy now.
