Can you tell me if the Air drop works in pictures...my 2011 Mac book airdrop works only from Mac to Mac and i want to send a lot of pictures from iPhone to Mac using air drop

I wasn't able to get my hands on an iPhone to try it tonight. I don't own one. I will use a friend's iPhone this weekend and comment back. I apologize, I can't get my hand on an iPhone to test it. I have an Android. I do recall I used it a few years ago without issue. I don't see why it would stop working. But I can't try it now unfortunately. Someone is offering to buy it from me on ebay for 900 and it ends in 2 hours. I will end the posting here after that. Unless you would like to offer me something better before hand.
