The phone is brand new in box, never opened, still has the original sticker seal on the box. I do not want to have to open the box and break the seal to take the verification photo. Is that necessary?

Can proof of purchase be provided?

Proof of purchase has my private information on it, so I cannot provide it. However, I purchased the phone directly from T-mobile, and as you may know, if it were not completely purchased and paid off, the IMEI number would not be clear and eligible to be sold on Swappa. So I assure you the phone has been fully paid off, the IMEI number is clean and approved by Swappa, and is ready for you (or any buyer) to use the phone with your SIM card.

I only need it for warranty purpose. Not asking for personal info. Just order name, imei (which will be given anyway) and date of purchase.

Per Swappa policies, I cannot provide you with the imei until you actually complete purchase. If you purchase the phone, I can of course provide you with the imei number, the order name and date of purchase. Before then, for safety reasons, I cannot not provide that information. Plus, it wouldn't make sense for you to try to warranty the phone if you have not purchased it.

I apologize. I did not intend for my comments to sound snarky. I was just trying to be clear on what I can and cannot do before purchase. I've had strange requests in the past for other sales I have made, so I always just try to be as clear as possible to avoid confusion. Sorry again if it came across wrong.

Hi John, the original manufacturer's warranty is tied to the IMEI number and is good for 24 months from the date it was originally sold (phone was purchased approximately a month ago). You will have no issue with warranty.
