I am looking for Verizon galaxy S5 phone with an Emmc chip that starts with 15. There are two types of these chips, 11 and 15. The 15 chip allows for easier root and upgrading. These chips are internal and there isn't a way to tell what chip is in the phone based on serial or IMEI number.

There's a free app on the Play store called eMMC Brickbug Check that will identify whether your phone has CID type 15 or type 11 eMMC. It doesn't require root or any technical expertise to use. I used in on my phone and I have the 11 chip type. The first two numbers listed next to CID (11xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) identify the chip. I am looking for the first two to be 15. If you have a phone with the 15 eMMc, I will purchase it.

Is this mint condition? Does it have charging port cover? Are there any scratches?

yes it has the charging port cover. it is near mint. there are slight brushing on the back of case, you can see in the picture if you enlarge it, towards bottom. the phone has a TGSP on it now and there are no deep scratches on the actual screen, i won't rule out a superficial scuff but i'm not going to take the protector off to check. I've uploaded a picture of the charging port. not sure why it didn't upload originally.

I'm reluctant to buy a used phone with a screen cover on it because I can't tell if there are any scratches on the screen. Can you remove the screen cover and post closeup photos of the screen with the phone off. If there are no major scratches on the screen I think your price on the phone is fair.

Mike, if you want to purchase the phone, then i will take the screen protector off and take pictures. if it's not up to your liking then I can refund you. I don't want to discard a 7.00 new protector for a maybe.
