OK, I will most likely buy it later, is there a way to prove it has 6 month of warranty left. As in if I encounter problems 3 month from now will I need some sort of receipt to send it to Microsoft and get fit fixed.

Yes you can definitely check the warranty by going to Microsoft's website. You can check it by your self but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to share the serial number of the device here.

I've run into a problem, the max amount you can put on a gift card is 500$ USD. Is there a way for you to set this in two payments 1 at 500 an the other at 80?
