Galaxy S10

Released in February 2019, the Samsung Galaxy S10 is Samsung’s 10th generation flagship smartphone. Compared to its predecessor, the S10 received a striking visual redesign with its Infinity-O display that slopes over the sides and delivers an impressive 88% screen-to-body ratio. Underneath the 6.1-inch AMOLED display, you’ll find an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The S10 also packs impressive specs such as the octa-core Snapdragon 855 processor, 8GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of internal storage. Finally, the S10 packs one of the best camera arrays found in a 2019 flagship, with a 12MP wide angle, 12MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom, and 16MP ultra wide.

Galaxy S9 Plus

The Galaxy S9 Plus was released in March 2018, and is Samsung’s 9th generation, plus-sized flagship. Its front face is dominated by a large 6.2-inch Super AMOLED with an 84% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, you get a speedy Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB of RAM, up to 256GB of internal storage, and a 3500mAh battery. The S9+ also offers Dolby Atmos virtual surround sound and Intelligent Scan facial recognition. As you’d expect from a flagship Samsung, the S9+ has a great camera setup. The 12MP primary camera offers OIS and super slow motion video recording, while the 12MP telephoto module sports 2x optical zoom. The S9+ is available in Sunrise Gold, Lilac Purple, Coral Blue, and Midnight Black.

Galaxy S9

The Galaxy S9 is Samsung’s flagship phone for 2018. At the front, you get a large 5.8-inch Super AMOLED with an 84% screen-to-body ratio. Inside, the S9 packs a powerful Snapdragon 845 processor, 4GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, and a 3000mAh battery. In addition, the S9 offers Intelligent Scan facial recognition and Dolby Atmos virtual surround sound. Camera performance is also great, thanks to a 12MP f/1.5 module with OIS and super slow motion video recording. It is available in 5 colors, including the all-new Sunrise Gold.

Galaxy S8 Active

Samsung released the Galaxy S8 Active in August 2017. This model arrived as part of the Galaxy S8 lineup, which also includes the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. The Active branding means the phone was built with durability in mind. The Galaxy S8 Active is MIL-STD-810G compliant and has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. This durability comes by way of an internal metal frame, and tougher exterior case materials. Outside of the added durability, the feature set includes a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED (2960 x 1440) display. Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, a micro SD memory card slot, 4,000 mAh non-removable battery, and a 12MP rear-facing camera. The Galaxy S8 Active also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for security, and support for Samsung DeX, which added support for Samsung’s desktop experience.

Galaxy S8 Plus

Released in March 2017 alongside the Galaxy S8, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus was one of Samsung’s flagship phones for 2017. The S8+ features an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and either 4 or 6GB of RAM, making it one of the fastest devices available at the time, and still able to power through applications and games several years later. The S8+ also features a large 6.2-inch Super AMOLED with a 2960x1440 resolution and 529ppi. Rather than relying on physical navigation buttons, the S8+ makes use of its larger and taller aspect ratio screen to display on-screen Android navigation keys.

Galaxy S8

The Samsung Galaxy S8 was released in March 2017 alongside its bigger brother, the Galaxy S8 Plus. Together, these were Samsung’s flagship phones for 2017. Featuring an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and 4GB of RAM, the Galaxy S8 was blazing fast when it was launched, and it still holds its own several years later. In addition to the usual spec bumps, the S8 also marked the first time a Samsung flagship was sold without hardware navigation buttons. In order to make way for this visual redesign, the S8 features a taller aspect ratio screen, allowing for on-screen Android navigation keys. This 5.8-inch Super AMOLED has a 2960x1440 resolution with a whopping 572ppi.

Galaxy S7

The Samsung Galaxy S7 was released in March 2016 alongside the larger S7 Edge. Like the Galaxy S6 before it, the S7 also features a metal and glass design, this time adding IP68 water resistance. You'll also find a familiar 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screen (flat), Always-on display, Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, micro SD card slot, 12MP rear and 5MP front facing cameras, 3,000mAh battery, fast wireless charging, fingerprint sensor, micro USB charging port, headphone jack, Samsung Pay (with support for both NFC and magnetic card readers) and more.

Galaxy S7 Active

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active was released in June 2016, exclusively for AT&T. A rugged variant of the normal Galaxy S7, the S7 Active features improved drop protection with tough exterior and large 4,000mAh battery for extended usage. Other than that, hardware specs are similar to what you’d find on the regular Galaxy S7, with a 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED flat screen, Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, micro SD card slot, 12MP rear and 5MP front facing cameras, fast wireless charging, home button with fingerprint sensor, micro USB charging port with fast charging, headphone jack, always-on display, and more.

Galaxy S7 Edge

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge was released in March 2016, alongside the smaller S7 Edge. Like the Galaxy S6 Edge+ before it, the S7 also features a metal and glass design, only this time adding IP68 water resistance. Hardware specs include a 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED curved screen, Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, micro SD card slot, 12MP rear and 5MP front facing cameras, and a 3,600mAh battery. The S7 Edge also features fast wireless charging, home button with fingerprint sensor, micro USB charging port with fast charging, headphone jack, always-on display, and more.

Galaxy S6 edge+

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ was originally released in April 2015 alongside the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. The larger, curved screen variant of the regular Galaxy S6, the S6 Edge+ utilized Samsung’s flexible AMOLED technology to bend the display over each side of the phone. The Galaxy S6 Edge+ comes equipped with a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, Exynos 7420 chipset, 4GB RAM, 32/64/128GB internal storage, 16MP rear and 5MP front facing cameras, wireless charging, home button with fingerprint sensor, micro USB port with fast charging, headphone jack, and Samsung Pay (NFC + MST). With a 3,000mAh battery, battery life is rated for around 20 hours of talk time. Galaxy S6 Edge+ colors include Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, Silver Titan, White Pearl, Pink options (some are region exclusive).
