Swappasaurus says...
The 1st generation iPad Air was released in November 2013, which is the same time the 4th generation iPad was released. The 1st generation iPad Air launched with iOS 7 and is powered by the Apple A7 chip, which was a step up from the Apple A6X chip that was powering the 4th generation iPad. Aside from offering more performance, the iPad Air was also touted as being thinner and lighter, with 43% narrower bezels around the 9.7” Retina display. Other key features of the 1st generation iPad Air include up to 128GB of storage space, a 1.2MP FaceTime HD camera on the front, a 5MP wide camera on the back, a Lightning connector for charging, and compatibility with Bluetooth keyboards.
