The 5th gen iPad mini and 6th gen iPad mini were released only two years apart, but the differences between these two models are notable. The 6th gen iPad mini features a brand new exterior design that brings Touch ID to the power button on the side. Moving the Touch ID allows for a bigger display, which is now an 8.3” Liquid Retina with True Tone. Space Gray is a color that is available on both models, but the 6th gen iPad mini is also available in Pink, Purple, and Starlight. Other key features of the 6th gen iPad mini include up to 256GB of storage, a USB-C connector for charging, a 12MP wide camera on the back, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera with Center Stage on the front. The 6th gen model also supports the 2nd generation Apple Pencil and has 5G connectivity.
