sorry for the late response.
The phone has a minor issue with the camera making a static noise when using it so now i have to go fix it but other than that the price for the phone was good and there is no other issue with it. It has a warranty but I need the phone to be fixed as soon as possible because it is a gift so I will not be using the warranty and will be repairing the phone at a shop near me.
i hate to do this but this was pretty bad

Seller clearly replaced the screen and didn't disclose it. Poor quality screen (rough to the touch, blurry, glue peeling off edges), and I can kiss Apple's IP68 waterproof rating goodbye. Not worth the hassle to return, lesson learned.
