Very disappointing first experience on Swappa. I used a trusted seller with a verified phone check, and the phone had severely impacted battery health. I asked them to refund me the cost of replacing the battery and they said it would cost them $30 so that’s the most they would do, or I could return it. Kind of lame, now I’m stuck covering the extra $70 to get the battery replaced. Avoid this seller, and maybe Swappa altogether since they didn’t care to step in and help no matter how many times I alerted them.

Fast shipping. However when I received the iPhone and powered it up I was immediately met with a “Service Battery” warning. Battery Max Capacity is only at 77%. Purchased a phone listed as 9/10 condition. Expected a better battery life. Won’t purchase anymore from this seller.

I was a bit skeptical about buying an older phone and using Swappa for the first time. I selected a 'Good' condition iPhone 8 and I am pleasantly surprised. Just minor things:

The phone is great so far but time will tell. The battery is 100% capacity but I need to see how good this battery is. It doesn't seem better than the replacement I put in my iPhone 6 myself. They probably used the cheapest battery replacement they could find. Or it could be in my head.

EDIT: initially I thought there was a minor cluster of scratches and they thoughtfully added a screen protector. After taking it off because it is too thick there are a lot of scratches. The screen protector hid most of them somehow.

The home button feels like it is stiff and doesn't go down like it is supposed to. Idk if this is something Apple implemented in newer models or not. My iPhone 6 home button feels like a button.

it worked out ,but unfortunately the item was sold to me locked to AT&T and advertised as "UNLOCKED". hopefully it doesn't happen to anyone else as it was a huge hassle and I almost had to return the phone after fully activating this new phone with my icloud backup. luckily i was able to unlock it with ATT.

They will sell you a faulty device that will last just long enough to make it out of the warranty period so that they may take your money and get over on you. I’ve bought three devices off of Swappa now and this is the only one I’ve had issues with and the only Seller I’ve had sell me a faulty device under the guise of one that is in “pristine” condition.

DON'T BUY FROM THIS SELLER! (If you do - use PayPal!) Sent me an iPhone with a "Severely degraded" battery even though it was posted as 9/10 condition. When I alerted them to the issue (that they obviously knew about) I offered to return or they refund me the cost of a new battery - they allowed for a return. This isn't ideal because now my money is locked up with them. They said a refund would be issued 2 days after they received the device, it wasn't, I messaged them and they
didn't respond. I had to end up going through paypal and opening a claim because of weeks later still no response. Still no response nor apology to this day. Waste of my time.

All devices are tested using industry leading software and results are stored in our database for record keeping along with Serial Number/IMEIs. Devices go through a 45 point inspection process to ensure all functions are performing as intended.

Shipping Policies


Orders will only ship to the address provided during checkout. Order cancellations are subject to a 3.49% + $0.49 fee for domestic payments and 5% for international payments. Returns for a refund are subject to a 5% restocking fee or $10, whichever is greater.

Orders received Mon - Fri by 12pm EST or Sat by 10am EST will typically ship out the same day via USPS First Class Mail 3-5 days. All other orders will ship out the following business day.

Upgrade to USPS Priority 2-3 day for an additional $10. Guaranteed 2 Day Delivery (Business Days) via FedEx available for an additional $25. Send us a message in the sale comments page after purchase to request upgraded shipping option.

Return & Refund Policies


Order cancellations are subject to a 3.49% + $0.49 fee for domestic payments and 5% for international payments. Returns for a refund are subject to a 5% restocking fee or $10, whichever is greater.

Any device received damaged must be reported within 3 days of receipt. Damage reported after this time will be assumed by the buyer and the device will no longer be eligible for return.

Returns for a refund are accepted within 14 days from the date of delivery and a 5% restocking fee or minimum $10 will be applied. 30% restocking fee applies to new items returned opened.

We offer a 30 day warranty on all of our items. We will repair/replace any defective device within 30 days from the date of delivery. Please contact us immediately if the device is found to be defective. Any unauthorized repairs done after the device is received without prior permission from the seller will void any warranty.

In the event we are unable to repair/replace the device, a refund will be issued.

The IMEI/serial number will be provided through Swappa messages before shipping. Returns will not be accepted if the IMEI does not match.

Any claims for non-receipt of item will result in the IMEI being reported as lost/stolen and blacklisted. We will also report any fraudulent activity to the proper authorities including our local and the offender's police department, PayPal, Swappa, United States Postal Service and the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).

We reserve the right to charge up to a 50% restocking fee for devices not returned in their original condition.
