When creating a listing, you can opt in by ticking the local delivery check box. Buyers can also request local delivery before purchasing.

Once your item sells, you have 24 hours to mark it ready for pickup. A trusted Roadie driver will pick up your item and deliver it to the buyer within 4 hours.

  2. Tape the box shut or place it in a bag. No shipping label needed.

Yes, you can change your Swappa Local pickup address. Once you’re ready for pickup, we’ll ask you to confirm your address. You’ll be charged a $10 flat delivery fee once you hit the “I’m ready” button.

Sellers have 24 hours after an item sells on Swappa Local to mark it ready to ship, otherwise the sale is canceled.

No, you do not need to be home for a Swappa Local pickup.

A Roadie driver will pick up your item, and we’ll let you know it was picked up and when it arrives to the buyer. Simple as that.

Never fear, Swappa sends you real-time delivery and tracking information via email and text.

Deliveries are scheduled between 9 AM and 9 PM, 7 days a week, including holidays. Items will be picked up the same day before 5 PM and delivered within 4 hours or less.

If you signal you’re ready for the item to be picked up after 5 PM that day, it will be picked up the following day. We will send you notifications when a driver is on the way and when it is delivered.

If the driver hasn’t picked up the item within this timeframe, please reach out to our 24/7/365 support team at help@swappa.com. Swappa actively monitors pickups and deliveries, and we’ll contact you if there are any issues or delays, such as inclement weather.

Sellers must signal that their Local Delivery item is ready to be picked up within 24 hours of sale, and should not signal unless the item is ready to go.

Drivers will wait up to 15 minutes before they cancel a pickup. If a seller misses the pickup window, they will be required to pay an additional $10 for a second pickup.

No, for your safety and the driver’s safety, this isn’t an option on Swappa Local Delivery. Once a delivery driver is assigned, we will share the driver’s phone number, so you can communicate directly with the driver.

If you have already confirmed your Swappa Local pickup, you’ll still be charged $10. If you haven’t scheduled the pickup yet and can’t make the 24-hour pickup window, please contact Swappa’s 24/7/365 support team at help@swappa.com, and we’ll determine next steps, likely canceling the order.

Returns and refunds don’t happen often, and sellers aren’t required to accept returns due to buyer's remorse -- but they may choose to do so.

If an item sold on Swappa Local isn’t as advertised or needs a return due to some issue, we recommend arranging a local meetup to avoid additional shipping charges. Pick a safe spot, like a police station or a Starbucks.

Sellers pay a $10 flat fee for local pickup and buyers pay the rest. Swappa does not recommend bypassing Swappa Local and meeting up with the buyer directly. Swappa cannot offer buyer or seller protections if a meetup goes bad.

Your item is insured up to $100 automatically. At checkout, the buyer can purchase additional insurance for $5 per $500 item value beyond the initial $100. For example, if your item costs $1000, the first $100 is insured for free. The buyer can spend an extra $10 to have the entire purchase price covered.
