Interested. Did you encounter any issues using on Verizon? Any reason why you selling so quickly?

Everything worked on Verizon (RCS, texts etc). I had good coverage but somewhat slower 5g speeds (260mb down). I liked the phone alot but decided to keep my Fold 7 as a daily driver. I like to try out phones alot haha.

I'd maybe do 1000 if that gets it done.

Is this the global variant used in India (V2) or the more widespread global (V1) that has a lot of the bands used in the States?

- Dec 28, 2025 - 07:38 AM

Which one is better (for the states) and how could we tell?

chris Seller
- Dec 28, 2025 - 07:56 AM

This is the more widespread version. I bought it from trinity electronics which is in Hong Kong so it's not the Indian version.

- Dec 28, 2025 - 08:32 AM

For reference, how can we tell? Something in the settings to confirm or the model/version number is different? Thank you. I'm interested in this one.

- Dec 28, 2025 - 08:39 AM

This is what I found (About>Model):

- Global / India: CPH2791
- Chinese: PLG110 (or similar starting with P)
- Find X9 (Standard): CPH2797

I posted some screenshots I found in the about phone section. Not sure if that helps.

I uploaded a screenshot showing that my phone supports esim which I believe is not supported on Indian or China model.

- Dec 28, 2025 - 12:14 PM

Indian version has the esim. I think you have the good version.

1. The "Golden Proof" of eSIM (Do this first)
The only way to be 100% sure the hardware supports eSIM is to check for an EID number (Embedded Identity Document).
If you have the phone: Dial *#06#.

Success: You see IMEI 1, IMEI 2, AND an EID (a long 32-digit number). This phone has eSIM.
Failure: You only see IMEI 1 and IMEI 2. This phone does NOT have eSIM. (It is likely a Chinese unit flashed with Global software).
If you have the box: Look at the sticker on the back. It must list an EID number alongside the IMEIs.

2. Is "CPH2791" the Indian Version?
Yes. The model number CPH2791 is shared by the Indian, European, and Global markets.
Indian/Global (CPH2791): Supports Nano SIM + eSIM (or Dual Nano SIM in the tray, but eSIM is active in software).
Chinese (PLG110): Supports Dual Nano SIM only (Physical). It does not support eSIM (except for the rare "Satellite Edition").

Oops his post before I ws

- Dec 28, 2025 - 12:34 PM

Trinity only sells the global (non-Indian) version of the phone.

chris Seller

Was just saying that I think hk global versions are the best for US. I buy from either Wonda or Trinity and they sell the HK global versions.

- Dec 28, 2025 - 01:13 PM

With Verizon did you use a physical sim or did eSIM work just fine?

chris Seller
- Dec 28, 2025 - 01:34 PM

Physical sim works just fine. I just took my sim from my fold 7 and put it in the x9 pro. Didn't try esim but I hear that's a no go on Verizon

- Dec 28, 2025 - 01:36 PM

Thanks, yeah that's been my experience with Verizon as well even on Nothing phones.

chris Seller
- Dec 28, 2025 - 01:53 PM

My fold 7 purchased from Samsung won't even work seamlessly with esim. I have to call customer service to activate it by esim every time. Just easier to use a physical sim.
