Why are you selling this camera? Was it purchased in a camera shop? Are you the original and only owner? Are there additional items that come with the camera, such as NP-FW50 rechargeable battery, and AC adapter, microUSB cable, shoulder strap, lens hood, lens cap, documentation? Not sure what the "not required" references mean. Please clarify. Thank you.
Hi Nancy,
I bought this 1/31/25 new, from B&H. I got it for a trip to Costa Rica but found the learning curve to be too steep for me.
Great camera....small brain?
I have the original box, sales receipt, 64 GB card, micro cord, and shoulder strap. It didn't come with a lens hood and I've lost the lens cap. I placed a new UV filter on it for protection. I didn't buy any extra batteries or a separate charger. I plug the camera into a USB outlet to charge. The book is included in addition to the meager instructions that came with the camera.
To me, the "not required" stuff states things that I could have for extra credit but not demanded for this sale.
Hope this helps.
Mark O.
Well, I found the lens cap. Hoorah!
Mark O.
Well, what a coincidence, Mark O. because I'm heading to Costa Rica for birding myself January 12. I have been using a Sony RX10 iv for birding and general travel for many years. However, my camera is currently in the shop for repairs and not at all clear whether it can be saved. So I'm interested in yours, but the asking price is a bit over my budget. Would you consider $1,857? Thank you and Merry Christmas! Nancy R. P.S. I think I do see a lens hood in your photos. For example, the one with the number written on the white paper. That looks like a lens hood attached to the end of the lens. It's the piece with the scallop on it that says "sony." it detaches and reattaches so you can create a sun hood by screwing it onto the end of the lens to extend outwards rather then at rest against the barrel, I believe. Assuming those are your photos of the camera I think you might have found the sun hood?
By golly, Nancy, I do have a lens hood! That's why you deserve this camera instead of me.
BTW, the only scratch/nick that I can see is on the top of that sun hood. The fourth posted picture shows a little burnished mark on that top surface.
I have a shoulder strap for my camera but I don't have one for my carrying case.
I think we would both wish each other Merry Christmas if we agreed on a selling price of $1907.
If we agree on that then we should check the "I need help (alerts Swappa Staff) box on the right to see how we do it.
I would adjust the price but how do we insure that someone doesn't barge in and buy it before you go online?
Mark
OK. Merry Christmas, Mark. I don't know how this site works. You are the pro here. Go ahead and click the box and I am in for $1907. Sorry to respond late. Family is here and we were doing the big Christmas Eve dinner. I will keep an eye on the phone as best I can. Nancy
Awesome. We have an agreement and will work it out in the next few days.
We each need to dive deep into what comes next. We are both novices here.
Mark
The seller must lower the price and then the buyer can purchase.
Will try my best to keep eye on phone during the morning's Santa-was-here-with-presents business. Then click the Buy Now button whenever it's ready. Hang on, I think I'm hearing something on the roof ... reindeer paws?
