I bought it from a Verizon store how would I know if it’s locked to them or not?

Nov 18, 2025 - 09:50 AM

I mean if you can use a sim card from another carrier and it works, unlocked..?

Its all paid off I dont see why you could not has a physical sim slot and an esim slot

Nov 18, 2025 - 01:14 PM

Can you ask Verizon or insert a sim card from a different carrier?
If you used it for more than 90 days in their network it automatically unlocks

There are two locking methods involved here. 1st is the SIM lock, where the phone only accepts SIM's from a certain carrier. In the US carriers are legally required to remove a SIM lock after 60 days or so. 2nd is a locked bootloader, where you can't unlock the bootloader to eg. flash a factory image or root the phone. All carrier branded Pixel phones have their bootloader locked, phones advertised as "unlocked" do not.

i don't have sim from a different network unfortunately

Nov 18, 2025 - 02:28 PM

I don't mind the bootloader being unlocked, question is did you use it with Verizon for more than 60 days?
