i think you can also do this -

"To see an iPad's battery health, open Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > Analytics Data and tap on the latest "Analytics" file. Then look for the values next to "MaximumCapacityPercent" and "CycleCount" to get an idea of your battery's current status."

If Analytics was not opened before, you may have to wait a day or so for the report to generate. Hopefully this helps!
