can you unlock?

i think tmobile allows carrier unlock after 40 or 45 days i think

For all I know the phone is unlocked in the box, I’m listing it as Tmobile locked as I have absolutely zero way to verify that without opening the box which would severely degrade the value. Thus I have listed it as Tmobile locked. As I said purchase it assuming it’s locked.

I’m happy to try and unlock it for any buyer after a sale but I am not going to open the box. I have owned it for more than 45 days and received a text when I paid it off stating it was unlock eligible.

i think once you have imei and you call along with your account info it can be verified. dont think you need to open the box.

Tmobile has verified that it’s unlocked and even sent me text saying such when I completed the payoff. However without opening the box myself and seeing it’s unlocked I can’t sell it as such.

I can confirm it has no EIP and am willing to share a photo of the payoff etc.

I have no control over the accuracy of the Tmobile unlock policies or text messages, thus it is listed as locked.

Buy anticipating its locked as described in the listing. If it’s unlocked it’s a nice bonus.

If it’s not unlocked I’m willing to contact Tmobile and request an unlock, but I have no way to hold them to their policies if they decline to support.

I’m willing to work with any buyer, but the reason I listed at as locked was I have no way to verify it is now unlocked unless I open it and pop another sim in. I did purchase it from Tmobile locked on EIP originally so from my perspective without proof that’s what it is .

I did pay off the EIP and Tmobile has said it’s “unlock eligible”. So my options are open it, verify that, and list as unlocked or list it as locked and brand new.

I’ve chosen to go the locked brand new route as I believe that’s more worthwhile than opening it. If that’s not acceptable to you, you can feel free to leave this listing for the next buyer.
