What is the reason why this has happened?

I honestly don't know. I bought the phone new and realized it about a month in. Not sure if I did it or it was like that.
What's wrong with the screen???
Look at the images. There is a dark spot on the right side of the screen.
Does the dark spot get bigger as it goes on or does it stay the same size?
Stays exactly as shown.
