Hello - yes I think the 2nd serial number you tried is what is listed on the box. I tried on that website as well and got the same response as you. However, upon doing more research I believe you cannot find the serial number on that site unless the device has been opened and registered/used before.

If I have time I will try to bring it into the Apple Store to see if they have another way to verify, but these are definitely genuine.

ok i believe you, one last question.. do they have an approximate year on them. i know even sealed airpod batteries will degrade over time even if unused.. do you know of approx. year you got them as gift or they were purchased?

I can't remember which year they were gifted to me, but looking at the box the copyright year is 2019.
