Sorry I’m a little confused. The phone isn’t carrier locked but it can be? I thought it was paid off. Or if you mean the phone is carrier locked, are you able to unlock it prior? As in the settings of the phone it should give the option to unlock it
My fault. Responded hastily. It's a T-Mobile unit, paid off. But I have not unlocked it. Hope that makes more sense.

Yea, I get it. I tried the permanent unlock via the T-Mobile settings and it didn't go through. I think that is because of the age of the device and it being essentially out of the box for just a few days. Thanks for your interest though.
