Can you possibly do $175? I can buy right now
No
What's the best you can do with the price?
Reasonable offers may be entertained.
I would also be willing to pay $175, which I think is a reasonable offer for a 7 year old phone.
$250 is not a bad price for such a great phone! I am definitely interested
Not doing $175
Ah, well, good luck then.
I'm not willing to pay over $175 for a 7 year phone which I might not even be able to make work with a US carrier... I was able to make my current Mate 20X work with AT&T, but that required OEM unlocking which is no longer supported by Huawei.
I could buy an equivalent 7 year old iphone (xs max) for $175 right now.
To the previous poster, I had this phone previously (5g version). With t mobile I had no issues
That's... nice?
The 5G is a somewhat different phone, being almost a year newer with different and additional network bands... so even if a 5g variant worked on T-Mobile in the past it doesn't mean the 4g version does now.
However, I use AT&T, and AT&T requires VoLTE (Does tmo now?)... the Mate 20 x (and the 5g version too, probably) don't support volte at all unless you make some changes to the build.prop file, which requires root access to the normally read only filesystem.
In order to get access to that file, you need to be able to OEM unlock the phone, which Huawei stopped supporting years ago.
There may possibly be a way to do an OEM unlock now through 3rd parties, but without trying it I won't know.
Anyways, the important thing is that this phone is 7 years old and the "premium" equivalent would be a $175 iPhone XS Max... I'm not willing to pay a $75 premium over that.
Instead I'll wait for the TCL NXTPAPER 60 Ultra to be available in the next month or so...
That is a good point regarding the difference between the 5g and non 5g version. I had my mate 20x last year on my mobile, times may have changed over the last year. I look at it differently though, I collect phones and this phone would just be another in my collection to use around. The house, a network connection is not necessary just wifi. The TCL is a very nice phone!
This isn’t for price policing or peoples opinions.
