Oh So Orange Pixel in Oh So Awesome Shape
This Google 4 is unlocked and ready for its new owner. The condition is terrific, since the phone has rarely been taken outside of the home. It is always in a rubberized case on the back and sides. There are NO visible scratches anywhere on the phone. It has not been dropped. It has not been hooked up to a carrier. This Google 4 Pixel has 64 GB and a great camera. The charging works perfectly, and the phone holds a charge for days. The listing includes a like-new-in-package charging cord and adapter plus a USB to C adapter and the instructions. The box shows slight wear on top corners.
The OEM bootloader toggle doesn't move on this phone in developer mode. (Screenshot in listing images.) However, when I use the IMEI check and list this item, it is Unlocked. (Screenshot in listing images.)

Hello Tara, please would you make the best photo of usb type C port? Thanks
Hi Kachar, thank you for your comment. I added a couple new photos of the port and set one as featured. I hope that helps.
is bootloader unlockable?
Would you sell for $75
Hi, could you please confirm whether the bootloader is unlockable?
Hi Nimit, I am not sure what that means, I'm sorry. I've asked for assistance from staff. Thanks for your comment.
Hi Tara,
I would like to buy it but I need it to have this option available.
It's easy to check, if you don't mind.
In SETTINGS, go to ABOUT PHONE
top on BUILD 7 times, then you'll see you are in developer mode.
Go back to SYSTEM > DEVELOPER SETTINGS
and then if you scroll down a bit, you'll see
BOOTLOADER UNLOCK.
if you can toggle it on, then it's good.
Thanks.
Was this originally purchased from Google store as an unlocked device or was it purchased from a carrier or with a phone plan?
Thanks
Hi Nimit, I followed your instructions, but I don't see anything in the Google 4 Pixel called Bootloader. I am sorry. Would it be called something else?
Hi Tara, yes, the bootloader toggle is called OEM unlocking. It is greyed out and can’t be toggled for devices purchased through a carrier but is able to be toggled on/off if the device was purchase as unlocked from the Google Store.
Hi Tara,
Yes, Blue Sky is correct. Thanks Blue Sky for the correction, as I rushed writing that.
It should have stated:
With Developer Options enabled, go back to Settings and select System > Developer Options. Scroll down and find the “OEM unlocking” option and enable it.
Thanks again
Hi Nimit and BlueSky, thanks so much for the info! Unfortunately, the OEM bootloader toggle doesn't move on this phone in developer mode. (Screenshot in listing images.) However, when I use the IMEI check and list this item, it is Unlocked. (Screenshot in listing images.) Thank you for helping me learn and I hope this is the info you need too.
Thank you for checking Tara. What this means basically is that the phone is unlocked to use with any carrier such AT&T, Verizon etc. However the bootloader is locked which means the phone can’t be used for certain development purposes or installing a custom OS.
Hi Tara,
thanks for the effort. I needed this for development and as Blue Sky stated, it cannot be used for that. Best of luck.
Hello everyone, I apologize, I'm here to help and I'll try to solve the oem unlocking dilemma... After checking the imei number, I can safely say that the phone is factory unlocked... The OEM unlocking option must work, sometimes it's not immediately visible, it takes some time for the phone to be online and the option may only be visible after the phone restarts. I can certainly see that the OEM unlocking field is not grayed out, which is good, but the slider will definitely work after the phone restarts. By the way, the phone is model GA01189-JP, which means it comes from the Japanese market, but it is definitely factory unlocked. Otherwise, the phone is in fantastic condition, one of the nicer pixel devices, and I'm sure it will serve the future owner well.
