I ask in hopes that if you purchased the item, you would have the original receipt & packaging to include, this way the warranty can be fullfilled from Punkt if there is a hardware failure in the future. From Punkt - The product covered by the guarantee may be repaired or replaced after being assessed by Punkt.. The service for products covered by the guarantee can only be obtained by presenting proof of purchase (a valid receipt) and the original packaging.

I have used the phone with Verizon and Google Fi without issue. The phone was purchased on Amazon, but I can't provide the original receipt as it contains personal information on it.
